DECLARATION REGARDING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EU-DIRECTIVES ROHS AND WEEE
EU-DIRECTIVE
The EU Richtlinien RoHs and WEEE are in Germany implemented by the ElektroG, which is law since March 16th 2005. According to § 3 ElektroG manufacturers or importers are obliged to register at the related public authorities if they bring into market products which are listed in the catalog of ElektroG. This obligation is binding since November 24th 2005. The ElektroG increases the manufacturers’ and importers’ responsibility to take back and utilize of their products.
Livingston Hamilton is neither manufacturer nor importer. In sense of the ElektroG Livingston Hamilton is a dealer of electronic equipment of categories 3, 4 and 9, which are purchased only from registered manufacturers.
Therefore the ElektroG is not applicable to Livingston.
